Austin R. Granger, 20, of Silver Springs, was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office after a report of employee theft at the Advanced Auto Parts on May 14, 2019, located on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw.
It was discovered that over the last several weeks, Granger had made several fraudulent returns to the store, refunding the value of $2,980.00 to himself.
Granger is charged with grand larceny in the 4th Degree and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to answer the charge in the Town of Warsaw Court on June 3, 2019.
Bernard Hyla, 40, of Lancaster, was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Java on May 18, 2019. Hyla was traveling east on Route 78. He was stopped for swerving in his lane and failing to keep right. He failed road side sobriety tests, and he was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Hyla refused to submit to a breath test.
Hyla has a previous conviction for driving with a Blood Alcohol Content Above 0.08% within the last ten years. He is charged with DWI as a felony and failure to keep right. Hyla was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court and committed to jail on $1000 bail. He is to appear in the Town of Java Court on June 5, 2019. His driver’s license was suspended at court for refusing.
