Batavia Police, Fire crews and EMT’s responded to a stabbing at 5 Ross street early Saturday morning after a reported disturbance.
One subject in the disturbance suffered multiple stab wounds and was reportedly breathing, but not alert according to the initial scanner report.
Sgt. Dan Coffey with the Batavia Police Department says a person of interest was located walking in the Library parking lot and was detained. That male subject was transported to the Genesee County Jail.
Police are in the early stages of the investigation and did not have an update on the victim’s condition.
