BATAVIA/American Legion Post 332 celebrates 100 years with a picnic in the park

The American Legion turned 100 years old this year.

“So instead of sitting down and having a dinner for ourselves, we decided to get out into the public,” says David Dumuhosky. Commander of Post 332 in Batavia.

The picnic was held at Centennial Park near Ellicott avenue and Park avenue. Five food trucks were in attendance along with several musical guests, the Old Hippies, the BHS Marching Band, Brass Band and Jazz Band,, The St. Joe’s Batavia Brass Band, The DSP Jazz Trio and the Alexander Fireman’s Band all performed.

There was also a handful of vendors and the Military Vehicle Presentation Association which had several historical displays.
