WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Covington man charged with DWI

Robert G. Irvine II, 32, of Covington, was arrested on Route 246 in the Town of Covington following a traffic stop on June 5, 2019.

Irvine II was observed crossing the center yellow lines of the roadway and a roadside investigation found he was driving while intoxicated. Irvine II was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he supplied a breath sample over the legal limit 0.08%.

He is charged with failure to keep right, uninspected motor vehicle, refusal of a pre-screen, DWI, and Driving with a BAC of .08 or greater. He was released on his own recognizance with a return date of June 17, 2019 to the Town of Covington Court.

Kathryn Holmes, 26, of Rochester, was arrested following a traffic accident on June 8, 2019 in Gainesville.

Holmes was traveling south on Route 19 when she drove her vehicle into the ditch. Holmes failed field sobriety tests.

She is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with a BAC of 0.18% or more and failure to keep right. Holmes was issue appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Gainesville Court at a later date.

Joshua J. Lautner, 35, of Castile was arrested following a traffic stop on School Road in the Town of Gainesville on May 28, 2019.

Lautner was stopped for a vehicle and traffic infraction.

During the investigation it was learned that Lautner had a suspended driver’s license in New York State from a previous DWI conviction.

He was subsequently charged with expired inspection, unlicensed operator, operating out of ignition interlock restriction, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree.

Lautner was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Gainesville Court on June 17, 2019 at 6:00P.M.

Deputy Adam Hope observed an occupied vehicle in the parking lot of Kelly Motors on Rt. 20A in the Town of Perry on May 28, 2019 at 1:00 a.m. parked with it’s lights off.

A license check on the driver, Omar Tapia Romero, showed a status of revoked. Tapia Romero, 21, of White Plains, NY, was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree.

Tapia Romero was released to a licensed driver with an appearance ticket. He is to appear in the Town of Perry Court on June 12, 2019 to answer to the charge.
