The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one car motor vehicle accident that occurred at 7550 Rt. 20 in the Town of Pavilion on June 24, 2019 at about 3:35p.m.
Upon arrival, patrols observed a 2010 gray Nissan Murano into a tree.
The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified at Holly C. Neuffer, 49, of LeRoy , NY.
Neuffer was traveling west on Rt. 20 when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road and went off the north shoulder of the road striking a tree head on.
As a result of the crash, the vehicle suffered heavy front end damage and Neuffer was transported via LeRoy Ambulance to Strong Hospital with serious injuries.
On June 25, 2019, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office was informed that Neuffer died at Strong Hospital.
The cause of death is being investigated as to whether Neuffer died from injuries sustained in the accident or from other medical conditions.
The crash is being investigated by Chief Deputy Brian Frieday, Sgt. Andrew Hale, Sgt. of Investigations James Diehl, Deputy Ryan DeLong and Deputy Robert Henning. Assisting as the scene were members of the LeRoy Fire Dept., Pavilion Fire, Mercy EMS and NYS Police.
