GENESEE COUNTY/Corfu woman seriously injured in one vehicle accident in Pembroke

State Police are investigating a one vehicle accident that occurred at 555 Akron road on Wednesday evening.

Fire crews from Pembroke and Indian Falls Fire along with Mercy medics responded at about 6:30p.m.

A female in her mid 40’s who is from Corfu, the sole occupant, was found semi-conscious in her vehicle after it left the road and rolled over in a ditch, striking a pole and coming to rest on all four wheels.

Pembroke Assistant Fire Chief Ed Mileham says the victim was in and out of consciousness and was extricated from the rear of her vehicle and transported to ECMC via Mercy Flight with serious injuries.

State Police say the injuries are non life threatening.

Troopers continue to investigate why the vehicle went off the road and rolled over.
