Carmelina Pellegrino-Scott and her mom Angelina like to make bracelets together.
Last year the pair raised $78.00 for the Alzheimer’s Association on July 4th by selling their creations during the Picnic in the Park.
The bracelet creations take the mother daughter duo a year to create. The three strand fish tale bracelets and the metal bracelets are $2.00 each and the two strand bracelets are $1.00.
” We really like making them and now we thought of doing them for different causes,” says Carmelina.
This year they decided to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity.
“We’re a Habitat family, we were the 8th Habitat house in Genesee County almost eight years ago,” says Angelina.
“It’s a great cause and we are very grateful and I wanted to give back,” says Carmelina.
Angelina says her family is a vocal advocate for Habitat and its something they like to do together.
“It’s such a great thing that people don’t know about so we are just trying to get the word out. Its something that we enjoy, its kind of relaxing. Its the perfect cause, its something to do together without looking at our phones or playing with our tablet.”
