GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Batavia man charged after stealing electronics cleaner and inhaling aerosol

Carlton L. Beardsley, 24, of W. Main St. Rd., Batavia, is charged with burglary 3rd and petit larceny after an incident at Wal-Mart on Veteran’s Memorial Drive on June 14, 2019.

Beardsley allegedly stole and inhaled an aerosol compressed air can used for cleaning electronics from Wal-Mart after already being charged with trespassing on the property from a previous incident.

He was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and jailed in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond bail and will re-appear in court on July 27, 2019 at 12:30p.m.

Clint J. Towne, 38, of Alleghany Rd., Alabama, is charged with assault 3rd, criminal mischief 4th and harassment 2nd after an incident on Phelps road in Pembroke on June 28, 2019.

Towne allegedly broke a glass door, causing glass to shatter and physically injure the victim. He also allegedly choked the victim.

Towne was arraigned in Pembroke Town Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. He will appear in court again on July 9, 2019 at 4:30p.m.
