GENESEE COUNTY/Tops cuts the ribbon on $1.6 million dollars in renovations at their LeRoy store

After 22 years in the LeRoy community, Tops celebrated a $1.6 million dollar renovation at their store at 128 West Main street in LeRoy on Tuesday morning.

The store remained open during the 6 month project which included improvements to the whole interior of the store, new flooring, energy efficient equipment and new shopping carts along with an expansion of the Tops deli/carry out café with a remodeled seating area and bakery.

There is also a an expanded refrigerated produce area with antibiotic free meat and seafood choices along with a larger selection of beers including local favorites in Tops Brew Market.

Tops has also partnered with 200 local growers to offer local produce like corn and potatoes to squash and peppers from places like Fenton’s Produce in Batavia.

Tops currently operates 159 full service supermarkets with five additional franchise stores. They are a leading grocery retailer in NY, northern Pennsylvania and western Vermont and employ 14,000 associates.
