GENESEE COUNTY/New exhibit at the Stafford Museum tells the history of the town through architecture

The Stafford Historical Society held a “Gala Opening” on Wednesday night to unveil the Stafford Museum of History’s latest exhibit, “Architecture Tells Stafford History”

After the Stafford Historical Society’s regular meeting, which featured several speakers who talked about the importance of Stafford’s architecture, especially in preparing for the Town’s Bicentennial, which is in March, participants were invited to the museum to enjoy wine and cheese and conversation.

The Stafford Historical Society has created a Bicentennial calendar featuring many homes and buildings throughout Stafford. The cost is $15.00.

To tour the museum and purchase a Bicentennial calendar, visit the museum on Sundays from 2-4p.m. though the middle of October.

Any ideas for the Bicentennial or if you would like to help plan events, contact the Town Historian Garth Swanson on the Town of Stafford website.
