The Red Raiders started out their 2019 Class C football season on the right foot, dominating visiting Waterloo 25-0 and not allowing them to score a single touchdown.
In the first quarter, on the second play of the game, Red Raider Quarterback Joseph Laursen found a sprinting Kyle Wade down the sideline, Wade made it to the endzone untouched giving Cal-Mum/Byron Bergen a 6-0 lead.
In the third quarter, Wade powered his way into the endzone from the line of scrimmage and made the score 12-0, the extra point was good.
Late in the third, Waterloo was threatening and Quarterback Julian Ruiz made a pass to the endzone that was picked off by Vinny Molisani.
The interception led to a long Kyle Wade run down the sidelines that was finished off with a Bryce Yockel scamper up the middle for a touchdown that made the score 19-0 with a little over 6 minutes left in the game.
Next week the Red Raiders will travel to Wellsville who lost to LeRoy on Friday night.
