GENESEE COUNTY/Sheriff’s Office seeking information on bags dumped in a cornfield filled with animal remains

On September 20, 2019, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office received a call in regards to several garbage bags which were dumped in a cornfield at the intersection of Merriman and Cook roads in the Town of Byron.

The garbage bags were filled with animal remains which included pigs, two small calves and other animals.

Deputies along with Animal Control Officers, are working with investigators from the Lollypop Farm Humane Society and Officers from Orleans County Dog Control, looking into to who may have dumped the animal remains.
