GENESEE COUNTY/Stafford holds Bicentennial kickoff planning party

Stafford New York is celebrating 200 years in 2020.

On Thursday night, the official Bicentennial Sendoff Party, complete with wine and cheese, was held at the Stafford Museum of History.

About 30 residents involved in the planning of events met to discuss activities that are being planned for the year 2020 beginning with Founder’s Day on March 24, 2020.

Other events being planned are a Square Dance, Mother’s Day Barbeque, Fireman’s Parade, bus tours of homes, barns and cemeteries along with agricultural and business tours. In the fall of 2020, a Dinner, Dance, History will be held at Stafford Country Club. And for the finale, a Christmas Tree lighting at Emery Park.
