WYOMING COUNTY/Two people treated for smoke inhalation at manufacturing shop in Pike

Four fire companies responded to Hershberger Manufacturing at 7724 Banks road in the Town of Pike on Wednesday about 2:38p.m., after receiving a call for a shop fire.

The cause of the fire is accidental and was caused by an over heated wood stove vent system, according to Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services.

Two employees were treated on scene for smoke inhalation. They did not require transport to the hospital.

Estimated loss is $2,000.

Fire crews from Pike, Castile, Bliss and Fillmore were on scene for 1.5 hours. Also assisting on scene was Wyoming County Emergency Services.
