PRESS RELEASE

On November 12, 2019, Troopers out of SP Batavia arrested Nicholas C. Doell, 28, of Darien Center, NY for Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree and Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree.

On November 7, 2019, Troopers in the town of Darien area were advised by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office to be-on-the-lookout for Doell because they had pending criminal charges on him.

A NYSP K9 was traveling on Attica Road and observed Doell who immediately began to run after observing the marked patrol car.

The Trooper and his K9 partner, Rison, started to run after Doell down a driveway and into a gravel pit. Doell was given several commands to stop or the K9 would be released.

Rison was released and quickly caught up to Doell and bit his leg and brought him to the ground. Doell was taken into custody and treated for the K9 bit.

Doell gave a false name while being taken into custody.  Doell was transported and turned over to Sheriff’s Department for additional charges.

He is currently at the Genesee County Jail.
