Nine fire companies responded to 5622 Broughton road in the Town of Gainesville for a barn fire Friday afternoon about 1:51p.m.
The barn, a 90’x180′ structure, was used to process manure and process feed and bedding for the farm animals at Broughton Farms.
Estimated loss after the fire is 1 million dollars.
No one was injured in the blaze, the cause is still under investigation.
Silver Springs, Castile, Gainesville, Perry, Perry Center, Bliss, Pike, Warsaw and North Java fire were on location for about 3.5 hours.
Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Wyoming Correctional, Perry Ambulance, Silver Springs Electric, Town of Gainesville Highway Dept. and the NYS Police.
