A crew from Catenary Construction out of Rochester was on location earlier today doing some preliminary setup for repair work that will be completed on the Redfield Parkway pillars.
The crew will remove the existing outside electrical conduits for the lamps and conceal them within the pillars. The two main light post pillars will be reconstructed after the conduits are concealed.
Old mortar and damaged stones will be removed and replaced. Remaining stones will be cleaned.
The work crew did not say how long the $46,000 project will take to complete, a lot depends on the weather. They will set up some scaffolding and will tent the area that they are working on.
