GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Medina man accused of burglarizing residence, stealing a rifle

Edward C. Simmons, 33, of Applegate Dr., Medina, is charged with burglary 2nd/illegal entry into a dwelling, and two counts of grand larceny 4th after allegedly entering a residence on East Shelby road in Oakfield and stealing a Remington .22 caliber rifle and other property, value exceeding $1,000, on September 16, 2019.

Simmons was arraigned in the Town of Oakfield Court on December 9, 2019 and will appear again on January 6, 2020 at 6:00p.m.

He was released on recognizance.

Angelo J. Voltura, 24, of Meiser Rd., Corfu, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, speed not reasonable and prudent and failure to keep right after a one vehicle accident at 3392 Pratt road in Batavia on December 11, 2019 at 1:41a.m.

Voltura was released on appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on December 23, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Mellanie Golamb, 36, of Folkestone Ln., Penfield, NY, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, moving from a a lane unsafely and failure to notify DMV of address change after an investigation into an erratic driving complaint on Stephen Hawley Dr., Batavia , on December 10, 2019.

After the vehicle was located, a traffic stop was conducted.

Golamb was administered standardized field sobriety tests, and after those tests, she was arrested and processed at the Genesee County Jail and released on appearance tickets.

Golamb will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on December 19, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

The investigation was assisted by Deputies Cummings and Nati and Genesee County Correctional Officers.
