33 year old Desmond K. Sanders, of Dewey Ave., Rochester, was arrested by the LeRoy Police Department on December 18, 2019 after an investigation into stolen tools.
The original complaint was received on November 25, 2019 from multiple tradesmen at a construction site in the Village of LeRoy who stated someone had stolen their tools during working hours.
After an investigation, it was alleged that Sanders, while working as a laborer on the site, allegedly stole the tools while the others went on break. Sanders, who is on Parole, was working at the construction site as a temporary employee.
Sanders was located in Rochester by the LeRoy Police Department and arrested and charged with one count of grand larceny 4th, an E felony. Due to the new state bail laws, Sanders was issued an appearance ticket and released.
Sanders has been on Parole since December 2017 for attempted burglary 2nd, a class D felony, out of Monroe County, according to NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
The LeRoy Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the NYS Division of Parole.
