WYOMING COUNTY/Over heated wall plug cause of fire in Gainesville

An electric heater that was plugged into a wall receptacle caused the receptacle to overheat, causing the wall to catch fire at 5137 Shepard road in the Town of Wethersfield on Wednesday evening about 7:30p.m.

The residence is owned by Polly Biscaro.

Firefighters from Gainesville and Bliss were on scene for about an 1.5 hours. No one was injured.

Estimated loss is $5,000.

Wyoming County Emergency Services also assisted on scene.
