Edward G. Ruckdeschel, 57, of Liberty St., Batavia was released from the Genesee County Jail last month after he initially was held without bail after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a parking lot in the City of Batavia on December 7, 2019.
After pleading not guilty to the charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle 2nd, grand larceny 4th and criminal possession of stolen property 4th, all class E felonies, he was released and was scheduled to re-appear in City Court on January 16, 2020.
On January 6, 2020, at about 5:30a.m., Ruckdeschel allegedly stole a vehicle from a residence in Orleans County and then proceeded to lead Genesee County deputies on a vehicle pursuit and foot pursuit that eventually ended in the Town of Wheatland.
Ruckdeschel is charged with criminal possession of stolen property 4th, obstruction of governmental administration 2nd, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unauthorized stickers, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no or inadequate head lamp, side windows non-transparent, failure to yield the right of way when entering the roadway and unregistered motor vehicle.
He was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Bergen Town Court on the new charges in January 15, 2020 at 3:00p.m.
