Jacob E. Putnam, 29, of Michigan Rd., Arcade, was arrested following a suspected overdose death at 6070 Michigan Road in the Town of Arcade on January 11, 2020.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by Monroe Ambulance and Arcade Ambulance, responded to 6070 Michigan Road in the Town of Arcade for a reported overdose. When units arrived, a 23 year old female victim was found deceased inside a residence.
Following investigation, Putnam was alleged to have refused to call 9-1-1 for emergency medical assistance for the victim when she had stopped breathing. A third party eventually called 9-1-1 for help after driving to the scene to help Putnam. Putnam, who fled the residence on foot as first responders were pulling up to the scene, was found to have two active warrants for his arrest.
Putnam was taken into custody by Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies following an area search and foot pursuit. He was found in possession of multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia along with an imitation hand gun.
Putnam is charged as follows:
Criminally Negligent Homicide (Class E Felony)
Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (Class C Felony)
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (Class D Felony)
Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor)
Putnam was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court where he was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail without the possibility of bail due to past felony convictions. Putnam is scheduled for further court action in Arcade Town Court on a later date.
Elle M. White, 19, of Binghamton, was arrested following a traffic complaint on Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville on January 9, 2020.
Sgt. Jorgensen responded to a call of a vehicle off of the roadway in the trees. During the investigation, it was discovered White possessed a fake ID and had a suspended driver’s license.
White failed roadside field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. He was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where she was evaluated by a Wyoming County Sheriff’s Drug recognition Expert.
White is charged with DWAI/drugs, failure to keep right, possession of a fictitious license and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd. White was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in the Town of Orangeville Court at a later date.
ADefino Trejo, 45, of Orchard Park, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville on January 10, 2020.
Trejo is charged with operating a suspended registration and illegal window tint.
Trejo was released from the scene and is scheduled to answer the charges in Orangeville Town Court on January 22, 2020.
