Quinton Edmonds, 31, of Rochester, appeared in Genesee County Court on Tuesday morning and pleaded guilty to murder 2nd in the death of 43 year old Michael Paladino on June 1, 2019.
Edmonds was involved in a physical altercation with a female on the sidewalk near 5 & 7 Ross Street.
An un-involved party, Michael Paladino, heard the argument and attempted to intervene. A physical altercation then ensued between Paladino and Edmonds. During the altercation Paladino sustained life-threatening injuries.
Paladino was transported to UMMC and later succumbed to his injuries.
Judge Charles Zambito had set a trial date of May 11th with a plea cut off date of February 19th after a January 3rd court appearance.
By pleading to murder 2nd, Edmonds will face a sentence cap of 20 to life.
Sentencing is set for February 19, 2020 at 9:00a.m.
He is currently being held without bail.
