BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/LeRoy man facing felony DWI charges after traffic stop

Raymond C. Cook, 49, of Pleasant St., LeRoy, is charged with felony DWI, previous conviction within 10 years, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, previous conviction within 10 years, failure to keep right, failure to return lic/reg/plates after being revoked under article 7, aggravated unlicensed operation 1st and 2nd/alcohol or drugs, after a traffic stop at 20 Main street on February 13, 2020 at 1:14a.m.

After an investigation, Officers Hedges and McGinnis determined that Cook was allegedly intoxicated. He was arrested and released on appearance tickets and is due in City Court on March 4, 2020 at 9:00a.m.

Michael R. Lanze, 30, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with endangering the welfare of child and harassment 2nd after he punched another person in the head during a domestic incident on Hutchins street on February 10, 2020.

The incident occurred in the presence of two children.

Lanze was arraigned in City Court on February 11, 2020 and released. He is due back in court on February 27, 2020.

Adam D. Altobelli, 39, of Schell Pl., Rochester, is charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th after he allegedly stole a Red Bull from a business at 412 East Main street on February 22, 2020.

Altobelli was issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on March 3, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Eric K. Ricks, 41, of Ellicott St. Rd., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th following an investigation into a domestic incident on February 17, 2020 on Thomas avenue.

Ricks was arraigned in City Court by Judge Saleh and released on recognizance. He will re-appear in City Court at a later date.

Jeremy M. Fairbanks, 42, of Jackson St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant, after he allegedly failed to comply with a court ordered program on January 22, 2020.

Fairbanks was arraigned in Genesee County Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. He re-appeared in City Court on January 31, 2020.

Devon A. Wright, 18, of Highland Park, Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd, after a traffic stop on Law street on February 12, 2020 at 5:24p.m.

Wright was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 25, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
