Press release
Warsaw, New York, March 26, 2020 – At Wyoming County Community Health System (WCCHS), our highest priority is the safety and health of our patients and staff. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adjusted our approach to care and are pleased to bring the benefits of telehealth solutions to our patients.
Through phone and internet solutions, providers can conduct virtual care visits in real-time without requiring individuals to leave their homes. The technology enables convenient, online access to care for patients using a telephone, smartphone, iPad, or computer (with a camera).
Dr. Dale Deahn, Medical Director of our Family Medicine Clinics states, “Telemedicine is a new tool to extend the reach of our clinics, it allows primary care visits to be moved into your home. Our patients now get to see their provider in a new way.”
To make a digital health appointment, simply call our primary care offices and make an appointment. Once the appointment is scheduled, a text message or email will be sent to you that contains a link to your appointment. Click the link at the time of your appointment and virtually see your provider.
“This service is a great way to provide care to our patients during this crisis”, said Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Medical Director for Internal Medicine. Our community needs to have access to us even when in person visits are difficult.
