Two employees at VA Western New York Health Care System’s Batavia site have tested positive for COVID-19.
In accordance with CDC guidelines and the employees’ clinical status, the individuals are currently in-home isolation, mitigating further risk of transmission to other patients and staff.
Due to privacy concerns, we cannot provide additional information.
Per CDC guidance and VA protocols, individuals with COVID-19 symptoms are immediately isolated to prevent potential spread to others.
To further minimize risk for employees and Veterans, everyone who enters the VA campus will be pre-screened.
There are 250 employees currently on duty at the Batavia site.
