WYOMING COUNTY/Six new positive case of COVID-19 reported

April 15, 2020 @ 2:00 p.m.

Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, Jerry L. Davis, reports:

As of earlier today, Wednesday, April 15, the Wyoming County Health Department reports forty-two (42) lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among Wyoming County residents. This is an increase of 6 cases from Tuesday, April 14.

Northwest (Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, Sheldon) 11 positive cases, 4 recoveries.

Southwest (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield) 7 positive cases, 3 recoveries.

Southeast (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Pike) 9 positive cases, 6 recoveries.

Northeast (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, Warsaw) 15 positive cases, 8 recoveries, 3 deaths.

TOTAL– 42 positive cases, 21 recoveries, 3 deaths.

The Wyoming County United Way has partnered with the Wyoming County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to assist with the growing need for face coverings for residents in our community.

Volunteers willing to make and donate masks are asked to please call 786-8911 to arrange a drop off time at the EOC (or have them picked up – especially if it is someone at increased risk for serious illness). The EOC team will distribute them in our community.
