WNY Heroes teamed up with the Red Osier restaurant to personally deliver 102 prime rib lunches and 10 sheets of pizza from Pizza 151 in Batavia to the medical staff at the VA hospital and the NYS Veterans home. The Red Osier volunteered to donate all the prime rib meals.
Co-owner Steven Foster says this is the 300th community lunch donated by the Red Osier since the COVID-19 Pandemic hit the area last month. Foster enlisted some area school children to create special notes for the medical staff. Those notes were attached to all 102 prime rib lunches.
Additionally, WNY Heroes donated a total of 35 sheets of pizza that was divided between the Buffalo and Batavia VA hospitals. WNY Heroes also provided lunch to the staff at the Genesee County Veterans Services Office.
