Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, Jerry L. Davis, reports:

As of earlier today, Friday, April 17, the Wyoming County Health Department reports forty-four(44) lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among Wyoming County residents. This is unchanged from Thursday, April 16.

Northwest (Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, Sheldon)11 positive cases, 5 recoveries.

Southwest (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield)8 positive cases, 3 recoveries

Southeast (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Pike)10 positive cases, 6 recoveries

Northeast (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, Warsaw)15 positive cases, 10 recoveries, 3 deaths

TOTAL– 44 positive cases, 24 recoveries, 3 deaths

The Wyoming County Emergency Operation Center will be discontinuing the press release as a means to distribute daily COVID-19 statistics.

These statistics will be available on the Wyoming County homepage at http://www.wyomingco.net/under the “County Quick Links”click on the Genesee Orleans Wyoming County Health DepartmentsCOVID-19 Case Tracker.

Once you are on the Case Tracker map, go to the right side drop down menu and select Wyoming for the most up to date local information. We are transitioning to this as it offers more information and a visual representation of positive COVID-19 cases for the entire region.

These numbers are updated daily at approximately 4 pm with data provided by the Wyoming County Health Department.
