Friends and family gathered in front of the Eastside Living and Rehab Center on Prospect street in the Village of Warsaw to wish Rose Cody a happy 100th birthday on Thursday afternoon.
Cody’s two sisters, Carol Stack, her youngest sister, and Joy Nocera, who is also celebrating her 91st birthday today, were both there to share this special day with their sister.
Cody is the oldest of her 10 siblings and was in great spirits, waving and listening to the party sing happy birthday through a wireless microphone that could be heard through a speaker indoors.
The Warsaw Fire Department along with Silver Springs, Perry and Attica fire departments held a small parade of fire trucks in front of the Center.
Cody has been a resident of the Eastside Living and Rehab Center for a little over a year. She is from Silver Springs.
