GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Rochester man allegedly found with crack cocaine during traffic stop

The Genesee County Local Drug Task Force arrested Roy L. Watson, 51, of Clifford Ave., Rochester, on May 4, 2020, during a traffic stop on Rt. 98 in the City of Batavia.

Watson is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a B felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th, a class C felony, driver’s view obstructed, a violation, unauthorized sticker, a violation, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, a violation.

Watson was allegedly found with a quantity of crack cocaine during the traffic stop.

He was arraigned in City Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. Watson will re-appear in Batavia City Court on June 25, 2020 at 9:00a.m.

The City of Batavia Police, NYS Police, Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, Genesee County Sheriff’s K-9 “Frankie” and the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office also assisted with the investigation.

The Genesee County Local Drug Task Force arrested David E. Brege Jr., 33, of West Center St., Medina, on May 5, 2020, after a complaint being investigated by the City of Batavia Police Department.

Brege is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor.

He was allegedly found with a quantity of marijuana and hypodermic needles on West Main street in the City of Batavia.

Brege was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court at a later date. Additional charges are possible pending results from the Monroe County Crime Lab.

The City of Batavia Police, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office also assisted with the investigation.

Joshua S. Martaus, 36, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th after observed traffic violations on Clinton street road in Batavia on May 5, 2020.

The operator of the vehicle, Darlene Martaus, no age provided, was operating the vehicle while her privileges were suspended in New York.

Joshua was allegedly in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine on his person.

Both subjects were issued appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on June 8, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
