Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, Jerry L. Davis, offers the following:

New York State will allow non-essential businesses to re-open on a regional and industry-specific basis, as each region meets the criteria necessary to protect public health.

The State’s plan focuses on getting New Yorkers back to work—without triggering renewed spread of the COVID-19 virus or overwhelming local hospital systems.

Business Reopening Lookup Tool-The NY Forward Business Reopening Lookup tool will help determine whether your business is able to reopen and the public health and safety standards with which your business must comply.

As of earlier today, Thursday, May 21st, the Wyoming County Health Department continues to report seventy-six(76) lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among Wyoming County residents. There is no increase from Wednesday, May 20th.

Northwest (*Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, Sheldon) 26 positive cases, 24 recoveries

Southwest (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield) 13 positive cases, 12 recoveries.

Southeast (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Pike) 15 positive cases, 15 recoveries

Northeast (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, Warsaw) 22 positive cases, 12 recoveries, 5 deaths

TOTAL-76 positive cases, 63 recoveries, 5 deaths

*Two (2) of the cases reported in the Northwest Quadrant are attributed to the Attica Correctional Facility.
