Perry Police were called to Watkins avenue on Monday night for a report of people attempting to break into residences.
Upon arrival, Police were directed to a specific residence where three people were seen entering.
According to Police Chief Michael Grover, the responding officer noticed three people laying on the floor of the residence face down after looking in a window.
The officer attempted to bang on windows to alert the subjects on the floor. There was no response. The officer then went to the front door in an attempt to assist the possible three unresponsive subjects on the floor.
Chief Grover said the front door was open, and the officer entered the residence and was confronted by a male subject with two large dogs, a Great Dane and a Pit Bull.
The officer told the male to secure the dogs, the male did not comply and was combative, the officer had to pull his gun. The male then secured the dogs and three people were taken into custody and then released. One person was charged with violating an order of protection.
Chief Grover says the attempted break- ins are under investigation.
