Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, Jerry L. Davis, offers the following:
New York State has partnered with Bloomberg Philanthropies, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Vital Strategies to create the NYS Contact Tracing Program, a nation-leading initiative to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and make it safer to begin to return to normal again.
Contact Tracers work with people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to identify people they have had contact with and let them know they may have been exposed to the disease.
If you get a call from “NYS Contact Tracing” (518-387-9993), PLEASE answer the phone. Answering the phone will keep your loved ones and community safe.

As of earlier today, Friday, May 22nd, the Wyoming County Health Department continues to report seventy-six (76) lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among Wyoming County residents. There is no increase from Thursday, May 21st.
Northwest (*Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, Sheldon) 26 positive cases, 25 recoveries
Southwest (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield) 13 positive cases, 12 recoveries
Southeast (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Pike) 15 positive cases, 15 recoveries
Northeast (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, Warsaw) 22 positive cases, 16 recoveries, 5 deaths.
TOTAL -76 positive cases, 68 recoveries, 5 deaths
*Two (2) of the cases reported in the Northwest Quadrant are attributed to the Attica Correctional Facility
