WYOMING COUNTY/COVID-19 Update/Two positive cases reported, County Treasurer’s office is open

Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, Jerry L. Davis reports as of earlier today, Monday, June 1st, the Wyoming County Health Department reports eighty-two (82) lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among Wyoming County residents. That is an increase of two (2) cases since the last reported increase on Friday, May 29.

Northwest (*Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, Sheldon) 28 positive cases, 27 negative cases, 0 deaths.

Southwest (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield) 15 positive cases, 13 negative cases, 0 deaths.

Southeast (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Pike) 15 positive cases, 15 negative cases, 0 deaths.

Northeast (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, Warsaw) 24 positive cases, 18 negative cases, 5 deaths..

TOTAL– 82 positive cases, 73 negative cases 5 deaths

(*Two (2) of the cases reported in the Northwest Quadrant are attributed to the Attica Correctional Facility.)

Wyoming County Treasurer, Cheryl Mayer is reporting that the County Treasurer’s office is open for business and asks patrons to please remember to wear a face mask when entering the government center. Upon entering the building, there are signs that direct you to a Deputy’s station located just outside of the County Clerk’s office on the first floor for screening. Once past the screening, the Treasurer’s office will be notified by phone of your arrival.

Current Wyoming County Tax Collection information is available online through the county website by clicking on the following link; www.wyomingco.net. Property tax payment status, copies of tax bills and receipts, along with payment options are also available through this portal.

Installment payments for 2020 Town and County Real Property Taxes are available during the month of June 2020 by contacting the Treasurer’s Office at 585-786-8812, provided there are no delinquent taxes on the property.

The preferred method for processing Community College Residency Certificates is by regular US mail and can be sent to the following address: Wyoming County Treasurer, 143 N Main Street, Suite 210, Warsaw, NY 14569. Application for Certificate will require an original notarized signature whether in person or via regular US mail.
