WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Rochester man charged after traffic stop in Warsaw

On June 7, 2020, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Wyoming Street in the Village of Warsaw for an equipment violation.

William Q. Washington, 21, of Rochester, NY, was allegedly found to be operating a motor vehicle with an inadequate headlight. Deputies conducted a roadside DWAI investigation and found him to be allegedly impaired.

Washington was transported to the Arcade Police Department to undergo a drug influence evaluation with DRE Officer Lococo. It was DRE Officer Lococo’s expert opinion, that Washington was allegedly under the influence of a drug and unable to operate a motor vehicle safety.

Deputies seized 14 bags of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.

Washington is charged with DWAI/drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operator, no inadequate headlight and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Washington was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Warsaw Village Court on June 22, 2020.

On June 6, 2020, at around 3:11p.m., deputies responded to Wal-Mart on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw, for the report of a larceny.

Deputies arrived on scene and met with store management in the Asset Protection office. Amber R. Tallent, 31, of Warsaw, and Scott J. Marshall, 28, of Perry, were identified as the suspects who allegedly stole items from the store by concealing items inside Tallent’s purse and leaving the store without paying for the items.

Tallent and Marshall were both arrested and each charged with one count of petit larceny. Tallent and Marshall were released with appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Warsaw Court at a later date.

On June 7, 2020, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wal-Mart for a reported shoplifter. It was reported to deputies that the suspect, Aaron Prusak, 33, of Middlebury, had fled the scene on foot.

Prusak was located in a field north of Wal-Mart and taken into custody. Prusak is charged with petit larceny and improperly labeled controlled substance.

Prusak will answer the charges on June 22, 2020 at the Warsaw Town Court.
