BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Man charged after mowing a profane word into the grass

James R. Tillery, 47, of Farwell Dr., Batavia, is charged with criminal tampering 3rd after allegedly mowing a profane word in to the grass on city property on Farwell drive on June 2, 2020.

Tillery was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on July 21, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Luis A. Ramos-Mercado, 35, of S. Main St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 1st, assault 3rd, criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child, after a domestic incident that occurred outside a Batavia residence on June 6, 2020.

Ramos-Mercado was arraigned in City Court and held at the Genesee County Jail.

He is scheduled to appear in City Court on July 7, 2020.

Jamie M. Cyr, 38, of Bank St., Batavia, is charged with grand larceny 4th and criminal mischief 4th following an investigation into a domestic incident at City residence, where he allegedly stole a cell phone from a person during the domestic incident and damaged a door.

The incident occurred on June 9, 2020.

Cyr was arraigned in City Court and is due back in court on July 23, 2020.

Shaleesa H. Woods, 29, of S. Swan St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd, following an altercation that stemmed from a domestic incident on S. Swan street on June 2, 2020.

Woods allegedly struck a female in the back of the head.

Woods was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on July 14, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Erick R. Horning, 30, of Tracy Ave., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd, following an ongoing dispute between neighbors on Tracy avenue on June 8, 2020.

Horning was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on July 14, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Shawna M. Pursel, 42, of Tracy Ave., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd, after violating an order of protection after she was found sitting outside her ex-boyfriend’s residence on June 4, 2020.

Pursel was issued an appearance ticket and released.

She is scheduled to appear in City Court on July 16, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Thomas J. Wolcott, 36, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd, following an investigation into a domestic incident on Central avenue, where Wolcott allegedly violated an order of protection.

Wolcott was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on July 14, 2020.

Andre L. Roberts, 27, of Main St., Alexander, is charged with criminal mischief 4th, after a domestic incident at Speedway, 341 West Main Street.

Roberts was arraigned in City Court and released on recognizance and will return to court on July 16, 2020 at 9:00a.m.
