Shonje K. Jefferson, 22, of Norton St., Rochester, is charged with criminal possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, unlicensed operator and pedestrian failed to walk facing traffic, after deputies stopped out with a disabled motor vehicle on Rt. 33 in the Town of Stafford on August 7, 2020 at 6:01p.m.
Jefferson was allegedly operating the vehicle with a suspended license and allegedly possessed crack cocaine on his person with the intent to sell it.
Jefferson was arraigned in Genesee County Court by Judge Zambito.
He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail and $6,000 bond bail.
Jefferson is scheduled to re-appear in Genesee County Court on August 31, 2020 at 10:a.m.
The case is being handled by Deputy Erik Andre and Investigator Christopher Parker.
Also charged in the incident on Clinton street in Stafford, Chaniah L. Wellington-Martino, 19, of Danforth St., Rochester.
She is charged with attempted assault 2nd, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration 2nd, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Wellington-Martino allegedly fought with deputies and threw her purse over the guardrail in an attempt to destroy evidence in the purse.
She also attempted to bite one of the deputies in the incident while resisting arrest.
Wellington-Martino will be arraigned in Stafford Town Court on September 22, 2020 at 9:00a.m.
