WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Perry man charged after cannabis plants found in his garden by U.S. Border Patrol helicopter

Earl W. Barber, 55, of Perry, was arrested following a joint investigation between the United States Border Patrol and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.

A United States Border Patrol helicopter pilot located cannabis plants growing within a vegetable garden behind Barber’s residence on Silver Lake Road in the Town of Perry on August 7, 2020, the pilot then led Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies to the location of the cannabis plants.

The thirteen cannabis plants were seized, and Barber was later arrested for growing the plants on August 16, 2020.

Barber was issued an appearance ticket for unlawfully growing cannabis and unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd. Barber is scheduled to answer the charges on August 26, 2020 in the Town of Perry Court.

We have no justice system. Just crooked law enforcement.

  4. How much did this mission cost? Employees, fuel for a God damn HELICOPTER used by Border Patrol of all agencies (surely paid a hell of a lot more than local agencies) to find how many? 7 plants? Oh man. Give them a forestry award. Fuck all the violent crime actually affecting people, let’s charge this guy growing plants in his GARDEN.

  5. Yep. There are people still wanted for all the destruction of Rochester. There are wanted felons and sex offenders. There’s corruption of all levels in our city. But lets arrest this guy. Once again, Rochester shows how much of a joke we are.
