On October 18, 2020 at 4:05 p.m., Troopers out of SP Albion charged Brian D. Campbell, 52, of Kent, NY, with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operator 1st degree, refusal to submit to a breath test and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
Troopers stopped Campbell on Waterport Road in the town of Carlton for traffic infractions. While interviewing Campbell, an odor of alcoholic beverage was allegedly present. Campbell was placed under arrest after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
Campbell refused a roadside breath test to determine alcohol on his breath. He was transported to SP Albion for processing. Campbell recorded a .14% BAC.
Campbell was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Carlton court for a later date in November 2020.
