On October 30, 2020 at 12:50 a.m., Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Charles R. Wells, 50, of Castile, NY, for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Troopers located Wells in his running vehicle slumped over the wheel in the town of Genesee Falls. Troopers allegedly detected a strong smell of alcohol emanating from the vehicle along with an alleged strong smell of marijuana.
Wells was placed under arrest after refusing to perform field sobriety tests at the scene. He was transported to SP Warsaw for processing where he recorded a .10% BAC.
Wells was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Genesee Falls Court in December of 2020.
