GENESEE ORLEANS/Health Dept./COVID-19 Update/30 new positive cases reported

New Positives – As of 2:00 p.m. November 17, 2020

o Genesee County received 20 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 598.

§ The new positive cases reside in Alexander, Batavia, Darien, Elba, LeRoy, Oakfield, and Pembroke.

§ The individuals are in their 0-19’s, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s 70’s, and 80’s.

§ One of the individuals was on mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive.

§ 15 of the previous positive individuals have recovered and have been removed from the isolation list.

§ 9 of the positive individuals are hospitalized.

§ Two of the previous positive individuals were transferred to another county. This has been reflected in our PUI numbers.

o Orleans County received 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 529 positive cases.

§ The new positive cases reside in Albion, Barre, Clarendon, Shelby, Murray, and Ridgeway.

§ The individuals are in their 0-19’s, 20’s, 30’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

§ Three of the individuals were on mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive.

§ 8 of the previous positive individuals have recovered and have been removed from the isolation list.

§ 4 of the positive individuals are hospitalized.

A reminder the numbers listed as positive/active are current community cases. The recovered numbers are only for community cases and do not include non-county regulated facilities. The total positive cases includes community active/positive, community recovered and all those from non-county regulated facilities.
