BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Homeless man charged with assault after victim suffers serious physical injury

Woodrow C. Horseman, 44, homeless, of Batavia, is charged with assault 2nd, after allegedly striking a male subject in the face multiple times with his fist, causing serious physical injury to that subject.

The incident occurred on North street on December 9, 2020 at 9:03a.m.

Horseman was arraigned in City Court in front of Judge Rogers and was jailed without bail.

He re-appeared in court on December 17, 2020.

Alicia M. Lyons, 41, of Washington Ave., Batavia, is charged with menacing 2nd, after she reportedly displayed a knife after an altercation with an employee at 99 Jackson street, Kwik Fill on December 10, 2020 at 2:05p.m.

She was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 2, 2021 at 1:00p.m.

Alex S. Dumbleton, 27,of W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, burglary 2nd(illegally entering a dwelling), criminal contempt 1st, (violating an order of protection/physical contact), criminal contempt 2nd(disobeying a court order), and criminal mischief, after an incident at a residence in the City of Batavia on December 11, 2020 at 1:05p.m.

Dumbleton allegedly arrived at the residence uninvited and disobeyed a stay away order of protection, entered the residence without permission, damaged property, and became physical and endangered the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned in City Court virtually, and was held on bail.

Dumbleton re-appeared in court on December 15, 2020.

Terry R. Blake, 20, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, turned himself in at Batavia Police Headquarters on an arrest warrant for assault 3rd on December 14, 2020.

The warrant stemmed from a report of a physical altercation that occurred on Bank street on October 8, 2020, where Blake allegedly punched another male subject on the left side of his face, causing injury to the subject.

Blake was arraigned virtually in City Court by Judge Rogers and released on his own recognizance. He will re-appear in City Court on February 2, 2021 at 2:00p.m.

Christopher A. Sewar, 34, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd following an investigation into an incident that occurred on December 4, 2020, where Sewar allegedly violated an order of protection.

Sewar was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on March 2, 2021 AT 1:00p.m.
