On December 27, 2020, a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle and traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle on Route 39 in the Town of Pike, after several violations of the vehicle and traffic law were observed.
The driver was identified as Patric C. Wellman, 28, of Warsaw.
A data check showed that Wellman did not have a NY license and his driving privileges were suspended two times for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Warsaw in 2019.
Wellman was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree, unlicensed operator and operate motor vehicle with broken glass.
Wellman was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pike Court at a later date.
On December 14, 2020, at about 6:49p.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was conducting stationary patrol on South Main Street, in the Village of Castile, when a violation of the vehicle and traffic law was observed.
A dark blue SUV was observed traveling southwest on North Main Street with a loud muffler and the deputy pursued the vehicle, initiating a vehicle and traffic enforcement stop in a residential driveway on South Main Street.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Michael J. Mead Sr.,33, of Warsaw. A data check showed Mead had two suspensions on his license and a bench warrant out of the Village of Perry for failure to appear.
At around 6:57pm, Mead was taken into custody and processed roadside. He was issued appearance tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree and inadequate muffler and is scheduled to appear in the Castile Town Court at a later date.
Following processing for the suspended licensed, Mead was transported to the Perry Police Department, where he was turned over to the Perry Police Department on the bench warrant.
