Dare I. Eke, 25, of Buffalo, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville on February 12, 2021.
Eke was stopped for a speeding infraction which took place in the Town of Sheldon, and during the traffic stop Eke was found to allegedly be in possession of a bag of marijuana.
Eke exhibited signs of drug impairment and was subsequently asked to perform field sobriety testing. Eke was taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing, and was taken to the Arcade Police Department where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert.
Eke was found to be allegedly impaired by cannabis and unable to operate a vehicle safely. He was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing where he was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, speed in zone, window tint, and unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd.
Eke was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charges in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date. New York State Police, New York State Police K9 “Rison”, Eddy’s Collision and Wyoming County Animal Control assisted at the scene.
On February 9, 2021 at approximately 5:17a.m. , a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon.
The operator of the vehicle identified herself by a North Carolina driver’s license as Layla Hanks. A DMV check showed that Hanks had one active suspension in New York State.
She was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree and inadequate plate lamps. Hanks was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.
On February 7, 2021, at around 6:10pm, a deputy was traveling southbound on Route 238, in the Town of Attica, when a grey Kia was observed also traveling southbound behind a NYS DOT plow truck.
A random data check was performed on the registration which showed the vehicle was suspended for an insurance lapse of 10 days on 09/04/2020. A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted near Beck Road, and the driver was identified as Tyler K. Beck , 26, of Attica.
Beck is charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and was released on an appearance ticket. Beck is scheduled to appear in the Town of Attica Court at a later date.
