GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Pair charged after a burglary in the Village of Corfu

Thomas F. Hofmeier, 19, of Harlem Rd., West Seneca, NY, and Chance L. Flanagan, 19, of W. Main St., Corfu, are each charged with burglary 3rd, grand larceny 3rd, criminal mischief 2nd and grand larceny 4th, following an investigation by Officer David Krzemien of the Corfu Village Police Department and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

The burglary occurred on June 1, 2020 at 5:25p.m. at an address on East Main street in the Village of Corfu.

Hofmeier is also charged with conspiracy 4th and Flanagan is charged with conspiracy 5th.

Hofmeier was arraigned in Corfu Village Court on March 10, 2021 and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to re-appear in Corfu Village Court on April 5, 2021 at 1:00p.m.

Flanagan was virtually arraigned at the Genesee County Jail on March 11, 2021 and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Corfu Village Court on May 12, 2021.

Christina M. Sanchez-Anderson, 32, of Park Rd., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, after allegedly being found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine after a traffic stop on Union street in the City of Batavia on February 24, 2021 at 7:39p.m.

Sanchez-Anderson was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a a vehicle and traffic violation.

During the course of the investigation, an odor of marijuana was emanating from inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and its occupants yielded the above evidence.

Sanchez-Anderson turned herself in at the Genesee County Jail on March 9, 2021 after evidence was examined and tested by the Genesee County Drug Task Force. She was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the City of Batavia Court on March 25, 2021 at 1:30p.m.
