A Town of Sheldon man is facing charges after he allegedly engaged in a sexual conduct with a child.
Kenneth M. Kuras, 26, is charged with Criminal Sex Act second degree, class D Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a child, class A misdemeanor, after an investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
It is alleged that Kuras met the victim on an online dating app. Then Kuras, being 18 years of age or more, allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with another person less than fifteen years old. The FBI was crucial in helping the Sheriff’s Office locate the suspect via the online accounts and dating app.
Kuras was arraigned in Wyoming County Court by Judge Mohun and released on his own recognizance. Kuras has a return court date in April.
