GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Gasport man facing drug charges

James J. Garbrys, 29, of Gasport, is charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th after being arrested on Bloomingdale road on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation on April 8, 2021 at 2:47a.m.

Gabrys was transported to the Genesee County Jail and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Alabama Town Court on May 4, 2021 at 6:00p.m.

Abdi A. Abdi, 21, of Warner St., Rochester, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, and failure to keep right on a two lane road on Townline road in Byron on April 11, 2021 at 3:49p.m.

Abdi was stopped on Townline road for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic law.

Abdi was allegedly operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs and was allegedly in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine.

He was released with appearance tickets and will appear in Byron Town Court on May 3, 2021 at 5:00p.m.

Thomas J. Leonard, 37, of Main St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after a shoplifting complaint from Walmart, at 4133 Veteran’s Memorial Drive on April 9, 2021 at 3:30p.m.

Walmart Asset Protection alleges that Leonard stole property valued at $44.

Leonard was arrested and was issued an appearance ticket. He will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on June 15, 2021at 1:00p.m.
