GENESEE ORLEANS/Health Dept./COVID-19 Update/22 new positive cases reported, 7 hospitalized

o Data Update 5/7/21 – New data format: We will be reporting the total number of positive cases, ages,
number of active cases / mandatory isolation and on Friday’s we will include the NYS Fatality
Data. We will no longer be reporting by region, facility data, negative and recovered numbers.
Hospitalizations and ages of new positive individuals will be reported in the narrative. The
total age breakdown and potential community exposure risks will continue to be posted on
our websites. The data reporting chart will also include the Finger Lakes COVID Vaccination
Hub updates on vaccination in both total number and percentage.


o Genesee County reporting 14 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 5161 positive cases.
 The new positive cases reside in the:
 West Region (Alabama, Darien, Pembroke)
 Central Region (Alexander, Batavia, Bethany, Elba, Oakfield)
 East Region (Bergen, Byron, LeRoy, Pavilion, Stafford)
 The individuals are in their 0-19’s, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
 10 of the previous positive individuals have recovered and have been removed from the isolation list.
 5 of the current positive individuals are hospitalized.

o Orleans County reporting 8 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 2970 positive
cases.

 The new positive cases reside in the:
 West Region (Yates, Ridgeway, Shelby)
 Central Region (Carlton, Gaines, Albion, Barre)
 The individuals are in their 0-19’s, 20’s, and 40’s.
 12 of the previous positive individuals have recovered and have been removed
from the isolation list.
 2 of the current positive individuals are hospitalized

these numbers are for COVID Vaccination Registration ONLY.

For both numbers ask for the vaccine registration help line. The vaccine registration help line is NOT associated with either Public Health Department. The individuals who answer the phone can ONLY assist with registering for a COVID-19 clinic, they cannot answer COVID-related questions.

For more information about the vaccine and access for those who are 60 and older who do NOT have internet access, please contact your respective Office for the Aging (OFA).

For Genesee OFA please call 585-813-2457 for COVID-19 Vaccine assistance between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and leave a message if you get voicemail and someone will return the call.

For Orleans OFA please call 585-589-3191 between 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and leave a message if you get voicemail and someone will return the call. The OFA offices can only assist with the clinic links as they are available. The system may experience slowdowns and crashing due to high volume. Please be patient and try again later.
