At the Wyoming Correctional Facility, an officer assigned to the package room noticed abnormalities in cans of chicken and discovered four ounces of a green leafy substance and 80 pills after X-raying the cans at the medium security prison.
The officer was processing a package mailed from an address in the Bronx. The package contained eight cans of Bumble Bee chicken. After X-raying the cans, the officer opened them and found 40 white balloons inside. Inside 32 of the balloons, were four ounces of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana or synthetic marijuana. In the remaining 8 balloons there were 80 multi-colored pills.
The drugs were seized as evidence.
